Savannah is the companion piece to Bruce Foulke's Eveningtide recording. Savannah is a study in contrasts, ranging from the exuberant and joyous rhythms of "Night of the Lion" to the haunting "All the Pretty Little Horses"; from the compositions of Turlough O'Carolan to Bruce's contemporary original pieces.
This recording features Jacqueline Schwab, the exceptionally gifted pianist heard in Ken Burns' PBS documentaries such as The Civil War, Baseball, and Lewis and Clark. Other guest artists included in this recording are Billy Novick on clarinet and soprano sax, Ron Sanfilippo on piano and keyboards, Laura Gulley on violin, Peter Bloom on flute, bass flute and pennywhistle, Mimi Rabson on violin, Jane Harrison on oboe and English horn, Sandi-Jo Malmon on cello, and Joe Potenza on bass.
